Job Title: Admission Coordinator

Reports to: Manager- Admissions

Location: Mumbai

Job Purpose:

This position plays a critical role in student admissions, application processing, and admissions support services for all programs.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Assess Applications: Evaluate applications based on predetermined criteria, such as academic qualifications, work experience, potential, and other relevant factors for NMIMS programs.
  2. Eligibility Determination: Determine the eligibility of applicants and make recommendations for acceptance or rejection to ensure that only eligible candidates are admitted.
  3. Admissions Coordination: Coordinate with learning centers and internal stakeholders for all admissions-related concerns, serving as a link between sales and centralized admissions.
  4. Collaboration: Work with academic departments, faculty, and staff to ensure smooth coordination between admissions and other institutional processes.
  5. Prospective Student Support: Serve as a point of contact for prospective students, parents, and agents, providing information about admission requirements, programs, and answering inquiries.
  6. Document Management: Coordinate with centers to ensure timely submission of documents received at the center to the admissions department.
  7. Validity Extension: Process all validity extension cases, changes made from the admission department regarding program changes, center changes, and student data changes.
  8. Communication: Communicate with applicants regarding their application status, admission decisions, and any additional steps or requirements.
  9. Follow-up Activities: Conduct follow-up activities to collect missing documents or information, if necessary.
  10. Enrollment Coordination: Coordinate activities related to enrollment, such as registration, orientation, fee payment, and providing necessary information.
  11. Adherence to Policies: Ensure adherence to organizational policies, legal regulations, and accreditation standards related to admissions.
  12. Industry Best Practices: Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in admission requirements or procedures.
  13. Ethical Standards: Uphold ethical standards in all aspects of the admission process, ensuring fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity for all applicants.
  14. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and databases of applicants, admission statistics, and enrollment data.
  15. Reporting: Generate and submit reports on admission trends, applicant demographics, and other relevant metrics to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements- Education & Work Experience:


  • Education: Graduate in Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, Education, or related field.
  • Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in coordination, handling, organizing, and conducting activities in general administration, admission process in the education sector.
  • Familiarity: Familiarity with admissions processes, educational systems, and relevant regulations is desirable.
