Senior Fund Accounting Professional

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Fund Accounting professional to lead our Private Credit Funds accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Oversee fund administrators and team members, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of fund accounting services.
  • Fund Management: Manage a variety of funds, including Private Equity Credit Funds.
  • Complex P&L Allocations: Handle complex P&L allocations across multiple entities within fund structures (Master-Feeder, SPVs, Blockers).
  • Waterfall Calculations: Assist teams in performing waterfall calculations and ensure their accuracy.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with mandated operational procedures and checklists.
  • Team Development and Training: Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to team members.
  • Task Allocation and Delegation: Oversee task allocation and delegation to ensure optimal team efficiency.
  • Culture and Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within fund accounting operations.
  • Business Growth: Manage team capacity to support new business growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics: Required.
  • 10+ Years of Experience in Fund Accounting: With at least 6+ years in Private Credit Funds Accounting.
  • Private Credit Funds Experience: Mandatory, with a strong understanding of the Credit Fund Structures (Master-Feeder, SPVs, Blockers).
  • Loan Accounting Skills: Hands-on experience with Cash Reconciliation, Expense Reimbursement, Loan Origination, PIK, Paydowns, Prepayments, Defaults, Amortization of OID, Premium, Discount.
  • NAV Computation and Performance Reporting: Knowledge of NAV computation for Credit Funds, IRR (Gross & Net), Partners Capital allocations, Partner Transfers, PCAP, Financial Reporting (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement).
  • Fund Accounting Systems: Familiarity with Investran or similar fund accounting systems.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to prepare SOPs, identify Process Improvement opportunities, audit support and client deliverables.
