Job Title: Supply Chain Cost Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Cost Optimization Specialist to join our team. This role involves ensuring timely cost settlement with suppliers using Zero Base Costing (ZBC) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor commodity expenses monthly and analyze trends to protect profit margins.
  • Regularly review raw material prices for amendments.
  • Visit suppliers to assess their capabilities and identify areas for improvement in commercial settlements.
  • Optimize input raw materials and post-operation expenses to minimize costs.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing for Machine Hour Rate (MHR).
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through spend analysis.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Process understanding, including draw, forming processes, machining processes, and surface finishing processes.
  • Understanding of raw material grades and quality systems.
  • Knowledge of process details, machine MHR rates, and raw material rates.
  • Experience with CAD software and location-wise labor rates and electricity charges.
  • Skills in analytical costing, presentation, communication, negotiation, line balancing, KANBAN, JIT, TQM, tax structures, and legal compliance.
