Commercial Property Manager Job Opportunity

About the Role:

This skilled Accounting Manager will oversee a portfolio of commercial properties owned by various Funds and Joint Ventures.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Property-level accounting including financial reports, annual budgets, and quarterly budget re-projections.
  • Reviewing third-party property accounting for consistency, accuracy, and proper accounting.
  • Cash management including weekly check fundings, rent rolls, and lease maintenance.
  • Providing support to third-party MRI users and reviewing operating and tax escalations.
  • Managing Loan Compliance, Mortgage payments, and Lender reporting including debt service coverage ratio calculations.
  • Preparing unaudited financial reports as required by ownership and providing comprehensive audit support.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • JV Accounting, Reviewing and complying with operating agreements, and preparing financial reporting on a consolidation or combined level.
  • Cash management including capital calls and distributions, calculating management fees, and income allocations including waterfalls.
  • Acquisitions, Dispositions, and other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years property accounting experience with a majority in commercial real estate.
  • Experience with Funds and/or Joint Ventures, fair value GAAP, tax accounting, IFRS, TRS (Taxable REIT Subsidiaries), and tenant recoveries (CAM).
  • Understanding of waterfall calculations, year-end audit experience, and loan compliance including loan-draw and escrow-draw packages.
