Furniture Innovator

We are seeking a talented Furniture Designer who can harmonize creativity with data-driven insights to create innovative designs. This role goes beyond sketching – you'll delve into customer purchase history, analyze social media and international trends, and develop new concepts that align with our manufacturing capabilities.

• Conduct in-depth research of customer preferences through past sales data, social media, and international market trends
• Create original design concepts in solid wood (Mango, Oak, Acacia, Teak) aligned with our export strengths
• Develop production-ready drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar CAD tools
• Collaborate with merchandising and sourcing teams to translate concepts into viable collections
• Work closely with prototyping teams to refine joinery, finishes, ergonomics, and structural integrity
• Incorporate KD (knock-down) joinery, export packaging standards, and compliance requirements
• Develop design boards, line sheets, and client presentations for export buyers

• At least 2+ years of experience in furniture design, preferably in solid wood
• Strong skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino, etc.)
• Knowledge of global furniture trends, ergonomics, finishing techniques, and joinery
• Ability to translate abstract research into commercially viable designs
• Good communication and presentation skills

• Experience with reclaimed or sustainable wood materials
• Understanding of packaging and shipping for exports
• Familiarity with American and European design preferences
• Prior experience with export-oriented furniture markets
