Establish a creative synergy between original design concepts and research-driven insights to develop new furniture designs that align with our solid wood manufacturing strengths.

Our team seeks a skilled Furniture Designer who can study customer preferences, analyze social media and international trends, and create innovative design concepts in solid wood (Mango, Oak, Acacia, Teak).

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze past sales data, social media, and international market trends to understand customer preferences.
• Develop original design concepts in solid wood aligned with our export strengths.
• Draft production-ready drawings using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino).
• Collaborate with merchandising and sourcing teams to translate concepts into viable collections.
• Work with prototyping teams to refine joinery, finishes, ergonomics, and structural integrity.
• Incorporate KD (knock-down) joinery, export packaging standards, and compliance requirements.
• Develop design boards, line sheets, and client presentations for export buyers.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in furniture design, preferably in solid wood.
• Strong skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino).
• Knowledge of global furniture trends, ergonomics, finishing techniques, and joinery.
• Ability to translate abstract research into commercially viable designs.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience working with reclaimed or sustainable wood materials.
• Understanding of packaging and shipping for exports.
• Familiarity with American and European design preferences.
• Prior experience with export-oriented furniture markets.
