Job Opportunity: Account Manager

A Collection Specialist is responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable process within an organization, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts from customers or clients. This role works closely with the Financial Department and collection agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans for collecting outstanding debts.
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and determine actions to take.
  • Communicate with customers to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment-related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, including customer interactions and payment arrangements.
  • Analyze delinquent accounts and prepare reports on overall collections status.
  • Implement and enforce credit policies to minimize risk of late payments or non-payment.
  • Collaborate with external agencies as needed.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations related to debt collection practices.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Certified Professional in Accounts Receivable (CPAR).
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in accounts receivable and collections.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with data assessment and trend development skills.
  • Familiarity with collection software and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and professional ethics.
