**Job Title:** Cloud Operations Specialist

**About the Role**

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Cloud Operations professional to join our team and help us optimize cloud infrastructure costs across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, scripting/programming, monitoring, and cost optimization.

  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Closely track daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports, and highlight anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain scripts/automation (Python, Bash, or similar) for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency improvements.
  • Work with engineering and product teams to right-size compute, storage, and database resources.
  • Identify and implement reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies to reduce spend.
  • Leverage native tools like AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, GCP Billing, as well as third-party monitoring platforms.
**Requirements**

The following skills and qualifications are essential:

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services (EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.).
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation.
  • Prior experience in cost analysis and optimization for enterprise workloads.
