Cloud Security Specialist Job Description

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud security solutions, Zero Trust cybersecurity principles, and experience in managing cloud-based security platforms. They will possess excellent communication skills and a service-oriented approach to security operations.

  • Policy Administration: Maintain and update security policies, access controls, and authentication settings to align with organizational standards and compliance frameworks.
  • System Monitoring & Reporting: Continuously monitor dashboards for alerts, anomalies, and performance metrics, providing clients with regular reports on threat activity, usage trends, and compliance status.
  • User Support & Issue Resolution: Provide user support for security-related issues, collaborating with teams to resolve connectivity, access, and policy-related problems.
  • Documentation & Change Management: Maintain detailed documentation including configuration records, troubleshooting guides, network diagrams, and change logs.
  • Client Engagement & Coordination: Participate in meetings, status calls, and planning sessions, communicating technical updates, policy changes, and recommendations clearly and professionally.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years in IT security administration.
  • Hands-on experience managing cloud-based security platforms is essential, preferably in a client-facing or MSSP environment.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX configuration and management.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, SSL/TLS, CA).
  • Knowledge of identity provisioning and work experience in the same (e.g., Azure AD, SAML/SSO, MFA).
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools and endpoint protection platforms.
Preferred Certifications

Zscaler certifications (ZCCA-IA, ZCCA-PA) or equivalent security credentials are preferred.

Soft Skills

Strong client communication skills and ability to work in US time zone and adapt to client needs are essential.
