Marine Structure Expert

We are seeking an experienced Marine Structure Expert to lead the design and construction of marine infrastructure for high-profile port development projects in India.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of marine structures, including breakwaters, jetties, quays, and docks. They will be responsible for optimizing the performance, stability, and sustainability of port infrastructure in challenging coastal environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and construction of marine structures: Plan and execute the design, planning, and construction of marine infrastructure including breakwaters, jetties, quay walls, and docks for major port projects.
  • Coastal engineering expertise: Provide in-depth expertise in coastal and marine engineering to ensure the long-term durability and stability of marine structures under varying tidal and wave conditions.
  • Structural and geotechnical analysis: Conduct advanced structural and geotechnical assessments to ensure the long-term durability and stability of marine structures under varying tidal and wave conditions.
  • Project management and coordination: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful execution of marine construction works.
  • Environmental and regulatory compliance: Ensure construction processes align with environmental regulations and safety standards to minimize impacts on the coastal ecosystem and meet industry best practices.
  • Construction supervision: Provide on-site guidance, troubleshooting, and decision-making during the construction phase, overseeing teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of marine structures.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in marine structures design, construction, and project execution.
  • Post Graduate degree in Marine Structures or equivalent, with a strong academic foundation in coastal and marine engineering principles.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in coastal or marine construction, working on breakwater systems, jetties, seawalls, and other port infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in marine engineering software (e.g., MIKE21, AutoCAD, STAAD Pro) for designing and simulating coastal and marine structures.
  • Strong knowledge of coastal processes, including hydrodynamics, wave modeling, and sediment transport.
  • Experience with risk management and ability to develop cost-effective and durable solutions for marine infrastructure.
  • Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.E. (Civil Engineering), M.Tech or M.Sc. (Marine Structures).
  • Experience in working on port development projects or coastal infrastructure projects in India or similar coastal regions.
