Principal Consultant - Quality Assurance

The role involves ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of trading systems, with a primary focus on the Endur tool used for energy and commodities trading.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute quality assurance activities on the Trading Platform, focusing on ensuring the functionality, performance, and stability of the platform across various environments
  • Manage the quality lifecycle for the trading platform, including planning, test case development, execution, and defect management
  • Collaborate with trading and IT teams to understand system requirements, user needs, and business processes to identify critical areas for testing
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for Endur and related tools, including integration, regression, functional, and performance testing
  • Work closely with business analysts and developers to ensure proper testing coverage for new functionalities, features, and system integrations
  • Leverage knowledge of Endur to identify potential risks, assess system behaviour, and ensure that critical trading workflows are functioning correctly
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, providing support for both technical and non-technical issues
  • Define, implement, and enforce quality best practices, standards, and methodologies across all projects
  • Ensure the integrity of test data, environments, and processes, maintaining a high standard of testing quality and accuracy
  • Support user acceptance testing and assist with training and knowledge transfer for stakeholders
  • Identify and document defects, track issues to resolution, and ensure timely delivery of quality software
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating the effectiveness of current quality practices and recommending process improvements
