Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and on-time delivery of test planning and execution activities in the delivery of Quality Assurance (QA) Testing for new or modified applications/systems across multiple platforms.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive a QA team to deliver high-quality products
  • Responsible for delivering QA milestones and targets for assigned test projects
  • Create test strategies and plans for projects
  • Implement test techniques and methodologies to deliver high-quality products
  • Manage test environments to ensure a sound baseline for assigned testing activities
  • Defect and issue resolution management in line with test schedule timescales
  • Monitor and report project status to key stakeholders
  • Support the business in the delivery of UAT testing and ensure best practices are adhered to within related deliverables
  • Coach and mentor the team to improve team performance and skills
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and productivity of the team
  • Participate in PI and Sprint planning and Agile ceremonies
  • Capacity planning and resource allocation
  • Implement agile processes and ceremonies
  • Manage risk and issues
  • Adhere to the organization's Quality Engineering best practices and help drive changes to achieve more efficiency
  • Identify and support automation and DevOps opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least two, typically five or more years' experience in a system quality environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 8+ years' experience in Software QA and Testing
  • 2-3 years' experience as a QA Lead
  • Knowledge of the Health Insurance Industry
  • Broad knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle with specific expertise in Software Testing
  • Proven experience of working within an Agile environment
  • Broad knowledge of automated testing and modeling tools
  • Great knowledge of change management and test case generation techniques
  • Good knowledge of different web browsers like Internet Explorer, Firefox, MS Edge, Chrome
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working independently, leading a team, or as part of a team
  • Demonstrate accuracy and possess a keen eye for detail
  • Strong interest in personal development

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Finance business knowledge
  • ISTQB Foundation or Intermediate Certified
  • Knowledge of relational databases using SQL queries
  • Web-based software development, especially using Java and HTML
  • Salesforce and Vlocity Technology experience
  • HP ALM, Azure DevOps - Test Plans, Jira, Zephyr
  • Mainframe, DB, and API testing
  • Selenium/UFT skills
