Data Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with expertise in designing and optimizing data pipelines, architecting scalable cloud platforms, and ensuring data governance and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL, Cloud, Data Warehousing, and Big Data ecosystems.

  • Design & Optimize Data Pipelines: Build ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue, Airflow, Databricks, StreamSets, and Snowflake to ensure efficient data processing and delivery.
  • Cloud & Big Data Solutions: Architect scalable platforms with AWS (Redshift, Lambda, S3, Athena) and leverage Spark, Kafka, Hive for processing to meet high-volume data demands.
  • Data Modeling & Governance: Create robust schemas, ensure compliance with GDPR/HIPAA regulations, and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor junior engineers, work with analysts & data scientists, and act as a technical architect in solution delivery to drive business outcomes.
  • Performance & Security: Optimize queries, implement RBAC & IAM, and ensure disaster recovery/high availability standards to maintain data integrity.

  • Programming: Python (primary), SQL (expert), Java (good-to-have)
  • Platforms: AWS (Glue, Redshift, RDS, Lambda, S3), Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Kafka
  • Tools: Airflow, StreamSets, DBT
  • Databases: MS SQL Server, MySQL, Hive, HBase
  • Strong experience in data modeling, governance, and compliance.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end project delivery and enterprise data integration.
