Migration Expert - PHP to Laminas Conversion

We are seeking a seasoned PHP developer with extensive experience in migrating projects from Zend Framework to Laminas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully upgrading existing codebases, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance.

The role involves leveraging AI-assisted development tools, such as ChatGPT and Cursor, to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and maintainability. A strong focus on clean, production-ready code is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough migration of the existing project from Zend to Laminas and latest PHP versions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure system stability and performance post-migration.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to finalize feature walkthroughs and development updates.
  • Apply AI coding best practices for efficient planning, coding, and optimization.
  • Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and production-ready code throughout the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with PHP development.
  • Proven expertise with both Zend and Laminas Frameworks.
  • Prior experience in successful project migrations from Zend to Laminas.
  • Strong understanding of PHP 7/8 versions and upgrade best practices.
  • Practical experience with AI coding tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
