Senior Backend Developer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to support the migration of data solutions from cloud-based platforms to SQL-based systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, optimize, and maintain complex database solutions to migrate data and processes from cloud-based platforms to SQL Server or other SQL platforms.
  • Develop backend services and APIs that integrate seamlessly with SQL databases.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring scalability, security, and data integrity.
  • Apply best practices in data modelling, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and architecture planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of professional experience in backend development and SQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server (or equivalent relational databases).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms and database migration/ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in a backend programming language such as C#, Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Experience with API development and integration.
  • Solid understanding of relational database design and normalization principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud services is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
