Specialty Chemicals Development Lead

The position entails leading a team of chemists in developing novel specialty chemicals molecules from laboratory scale to successful validation on a plant scale.

  • Guide the development of new synthetic routes for specialty chemicals, collaborating with a team of 2-3 chemists.
  • Conduct experiments and review results, guiding R&D chemists to ensure successful product development and validation.
  • Offer innovative solutions to enhance product cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Scale up processes on kilo-scale pilot plants and ensure seamless handover to the production department.
  • Provide timely resolutions for plant deviations and conduct regular training sessions for development executives.
Requirements:
  • 5-6 years of experience in fluorination chemistry or prior experience managing an R&D team.
  • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with distinction or first-class honors.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
