Chemical process engineers design and optimize systems for the efficient transfer of mass and energy between phases. Key responsibilities include designing and optimizing trays, structured packings, random packings, distributors, and demisters to ensure high-efficiency solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimize column internals for enhanced performance
  • Conduct process simulations and calculations for various applications including distillation, absorption, and stripping
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturing compatibility
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot operational issues in installed column internals to enhance performance

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and customers. A graduate degree in chemical engineering from a recognized university and 2-5 years of process design experience are required. Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or ChemCAD is an added advantage. Strong understanding of distillation, absorption, extraction, and phase separation principles, along with knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat & mass transfer, thermodynamics, and pressure drop calculations are essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university
  • 2-5 years of process design experience
  • Proficiency in process simulation tools (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or ChemCAD)
  • Strong understanding of distillation, absorption, extraction, and phase separation principles
  • Knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat & mass transfer, thermodynamics, and pressure drop calculations
