**Job Overview:**

A Senior/Lead Performance Tester is required to join our team at Pursuit Software.

  • We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional who can define performance testing objectives and scope with stakeholders, develop comprehensive test plans and strategies, create realistic test scripts and scenarios emulating real-world workloads, ensure test environment mimics production, monitor system performance (response time, throughput, error rates, utilization), identify bottlenecks, root causes, and provide improvement recommendations, create detailed reports with metrics, charts, and logs, communicate progress, issues, and results to stakeholders, mentor junior testers, provide training, and share best practices, collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams, and stay updated with tools, techniques, and best practices.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in software testing, with 5+ recent years of relevant experience in performance testing, and 2+ recent years of experience as a team or client lead.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Expertise in JMeter for load/stress/non-functional tests.
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning concepts (GC, CPU cycles, memory utilization, context switching).
  • Experience with Web/Mobile applications and Web Services (SOAP, REST APIs).
  • Good Oracle DB knowledge (SQL execution plan, AWR, SQLT Reports).
