Job Title: Renewable Energy Business Development Manager

About the Role

This key contributor position is responsible for driving marketing initiatives in India and Southeast Asia Power and Water market. The role plays a critical part in strengthening Emerson's position in the renewable power generation market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for business development of Ovation Green SCADA offerings in the Solar, Wind, BESS and Hybrid Power market in Asia Pacific. They will work closely with in-country sales teams to drive business growth.

The role requires collaboration with Proposal and Operation teams to develop solutions in the renewable space.

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies, communications, and promotional programs to improve brand awareness, customer dedication, demand, and overall business objectives.
  • Own the execution of agreed-upon marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Drive market penetration in Renewables Power and work closely with Sales to convert SCADA opportunities into an Order.
  • Work with Sales and Proposals to prepare winnable SCADA solutions for the renewable power market.
  • Develop key accounts in Solar, Wind, BESS and Hybrid Power.
  • Coordinate and support PWS marketing activities in India and Southeast Asia, including user group conferences, industry events, trade shows, customer events seminars etc. to generate leads and follow-up.
  • Maintain and upgrade Ovation DCS and Ovation Green SCADA demo systems along with demonstration offering using Hardware and Virtual Demo systems to customers.
  • Prepare presentation content and coordinate presentations on offering to internal & external customers.
  • Coordinate training of sales/proposal group on new product releases.
  • Analyze competitors' technical offerings and keep the latest comparison with Ovation.
  • Prepare content on power business scenario, market share and market trends.
  • Create new product/feature brochures, newsletters, press releases & data sheets.
  • Define and coordinate the launch of new and enhanced products by working closely with Communications and other Marketing groups.
  • Write technical papers/articles for magazines, on Power & Water solutions and the latest offerings.
  • Prepare messaging for value-based technical selling and budgets.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 7 years experience of DCS or SCADA in Power or Renewable Power industry (Preferred) with minimum 3 years of experience in the role of Marketing/Business Development/Sales Support (Solution Architect)/Sales.
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • MBA will be an advantage.
  • Detailed knowledge of DCS and SCADA solutions for Power and Renewable Power Industry to enable efficient solutions.
  • Value-based selling skills, approach, and proficiency in building trust with a customer.
  • Able to set meaningful goals and an established action plan for reaching these goals.
  • Communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak clearly and confidently, along with analytical and business writing skills.
