Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop complex dynamic simulation process models and smart applications using Simulation and Optimization tools, such as Aspen Hysys and KBC Petrosim.
  • Analyze project requirements to create specifications and deliverables that meet customer needs.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery. The role involves building and configuring dynamic process and flow models for Oil & Gas Processes. Additionally, simulations are run for various scenarios with built models, and dynamic process and control studies are performed.
  • Conduct optimization and de-bottlenecking studies to improve process efficiency and minimize costs. Also, assist with Flow Assurance model building for Real-time production assurance systems.
  • Lead the execution of OTS projects with cross-functional teams for end-to-end design and delivery of Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other processes.
  • Oversee the development of functional and concept technical design specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering – a Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Refinery or Petrochemical operations / process controls / process Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Advanced Process Control, Real-Time Optimization, Performance Monitoring, and First Principle modelling.
  • Proficiency in modeling tools Aspen Hysys, Aspen GDOT, KBC Petrosim, and Tecnhip Spyro etc.
  • Familiarity with Real Time Optimization applications like ROMeo.
  • Knowledge of APC applications like Rockwell Pavilion, Yokogawa smoc, Honeywell RMPCT, and ASPEN DMC plus.
  • Certification on modeling and simulation platform Aspen Plus/Hysys/Pro-II/Dynsim will be an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, and control logics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Domain knowledge of chemical engineering principles and operations.
  • Good communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with DCS and ESD will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong ability to maintain good working relationships with customers.
