IBM Sterling Order Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an IBM Sterling Order Management Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, customizing, developing, and supporting IBM Sterling solutions for our clients.

About the Job:
  • Lead the implementation and customization of IBM Sterling Order Management Systems and Java-based solutions for clients, ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into system configurations and customizations.
  • Configure and customize IBM Sterling Order Management Systems and Java-based custom applications software to meet specific client needs.
Responsibilities:
  1. Implement and customize IBM Sterling Order Management Systems and Java-based solutions for clients.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IBM Sterling with other systems and processes.
  3. Provide training and support to end-users on IBM Sterling functionality.
  4. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in point of sale technology.
  5. Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation related to IBM Sterling and custom Java app configurations, processes, and procedures.
Mandatory Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management (Sterling 9.1).
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Fulfilment Solutions in design, configuration, product extensions, and integrations with external systems using synchronous SOAP web services and asynchronous JMS Queues.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in custom database extensions, user exits, agents, and building Web Services.
  • Minimum of 2 years development experience in XML and DOM parser.
  • Minimum of 5 years development experience in building web applications.
  • Experience building Stored Procedures and SQL functions.
  • Experience with distributed version control systems like GIT.
  • Experience with system integrations using JMS and web services (SOAP).
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
Preferred Technical Qualifications:
  • Domain knowledge of order management and store systems.
  • Experience with IBM Sterling, Java, JEE, JMS, HTML/CSS, WebLogic 10, Oracle 11 in Retail software.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of PCI compliance and security standards for point-of-sale systems.
