Job Overview:

The Steel Structural Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing customized storage solutions that meet client requirements. This involves a deep understanding of storage needs, designing structural steel components, preparing bills of material, and conducting cost estimations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand client storage demands
  • Design structural steel components using precise calculations
  • Prepare detailed bills of material for designed systems
  • Verify drawings and estimate costs for quotations
  • Develop technical documentation for submissions
  • Support marketing and sales teams in proposal development
  • Collaborate with the operations team for manufacturing system execution

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of IS:800 and IS:801 for structural steel design principles
  • Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings accurately
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Effective communication skills
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in STAAD is advantageous

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field
