About the Role

Shure Incorporated is seeking a seasoned software leader to drive innovation in our audio products. As the Head of Division, System Verification, you will be responsible for advancing our current technologies, bringing in new technologies, and expanding automation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, particularly in the development of audio products, with a focus on achieving results using cost-effective methods. They should be proficient in C, C++, Python, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and other scripting languages, with experience in Agile methodologies.

You will lead a 40+ person team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced scripts to validate embedded software systems. Collaboration is at the core of our culture, and you will work closely with systems engineering and development teams to analyze system performance and resolve issues.

About the Job

  • Architect and Implement Automation Solutions: Lead the design and implementation of automation architecture across multiple product lines, driving efficiency and innovation in our software testing processes.
  • Project Leadership: Oversee and coordinate projects within the department, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This may involve setting project goals, allocating resources, and monitoring progress.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the department and across different levels of the organization. This may involve conducting meetings, presenting reports, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans for the department or organization. This may involve conducting market research, analyzing trends, and identifying areas for growth and improvement.
  • Influence Product Development: Contribute to the framework and architecture used in multiple products or systems, shaping the future direction of our offerings.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical recommendations for next-generation initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Test Design and Implementation: Lead your team to design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases/scripts for complex frameworks, systems, and products.
  • Leadership and Management: Manage and mentor a 40+ person team of talented System Verification Engineers.

About You

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Graduate coursework is desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of extensive experience in software testing, particularly in the development of audio products, with a focus on achieving results using cost-effective methods.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in C, C++, Python, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and other scripting languages, with experience in Agile methodologies. Proven experience directly managing and mentoring, including leading cooperative efforts among project teams and effectively allocating resources.
