About the Role

As a Staff Engineer R&D at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a critical role in driving key initiatives and taking ownership of the CMD lab team. You will provide technical support and guidance to a team of 100+ CMD engineers, fostering innovation within the team by supporting the development and execution of proof-of-concept projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive key CMD initiatives and take ownership of the CMD lab team in supporting hardware and software for NPDI (New Product Development and Introduction) projects.
  • Foster innovation within the team by supporting the development and execution of proof-of-concept projects.
  • Continuously enhance the team's product knowledge and capabilities through ongoing learning and training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery of results.
Requirements
  • Master of Science or Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (a PhD in Science or Master's in Engineering is preferred).
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in CMD-related roles, with a strong background in domain, instruments, engineering, or software.
  • Proven track record in driving innovation and successfully completing POC initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and empower a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multi-functional teams.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $250,000-$300,000, depending on location and experience.
