Splunk Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Splunk Engineer to join our team. As a Splunk Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing efficient Splunk infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Splunk Indexer Management: Configure and maintain Splunk Indexers, Search Heads, Deployment Servers, Heavy Forwarders, and Universal Forwarders to ensure seamless data ingestion and analysis.
  • Standardized Forwarder Deployments: Standardize Splunk Forwarder deployments, configurations, and maintenance across UNIX and Windows platforms to optimize performance and reduce complexity.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot Splunk server and Forwarder issues to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.
  • Dashboard Design: Design and maintain production-quality Dashboards using expertise in Parsing, Indexing, Searching concepts (Hot, Warm, Cold, Frozen bucketing) to provide actionable insights.
  • Log File Analysis: Utilize regex commands to extract fields from log files and perform advanced data analytics.
  • Report Development: Develop and deploy Actuate Reports with expertise in development, deployment, management, and performance tuning to support business decision-making.
  • Capacity Planning: Monitor Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization, supporting Splunk on Linux and Windows-based platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Splunk Certified Power User and Splunk Certified Admin (desired).
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python and experience with Docker services.
  • Data Analytics: Exposure to data analytics and ability to work with large datasets.
