Job Overview

Nakshatra Systems seeks a skilled Linux software repository maintainer to ensure the integrity of our software repository through updates, upgrades, and patches.

This is not a system administrator position. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing software repositories, compiling source code, and working with build systems.

The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills in Linux, bash scripting, C, and Python, as well as experience with tools like autotools, meson, ninja, cmake, make, pkg-config, scons, and gcc.

Additional responsibilities include patching and providing bug fixes, maintaining changelogs, and reviewing changes.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills are also essential for this role.

The candidate should be proficient in English and have good verbal and written skills.

Work will be performed remotely, and a stable broadband internet connection with IPv6 facility is required.

Candidates with knowledge of Slackware Linux will be prioritized.
