Linux Support Role:

This position requires a highly skilled Linux engineer to provide L2-level support in a mission-critical banking environment.

  • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulator requirements through diligent adherence to established processes.
  • Operate under ITIL service management frameworks, focusing on incident, change, problem, and knowledge management.
  • Contribute to maintaining high availability, performance, and security, participating in DR/BCP drills to ensure business continuity.
  • Troubleshoot complex incidents and manage approved platform changes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes to prevent future occurrences.
  • Enhance system performance and reliability by tuning configurations and scheduling jobs as needed.
  • Coordinate vendor technical assistance cases, firmware/patch planning, and validate post-change health to guarantee stability.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation skills, maintain runbook hygiene, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Develop an ownership mindset, preparing for 24x7 support and potential on-call rotations to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Key Requirements:

6+ years of experience in Linux Support (L2), 10+ years of experience in Linux Support (L3) are required for this position.

The ideal candidate should possess expertise in various Linux distributions, including RHEL, CentOS, Debian GNU, FreeBSD, and Ubuntu, as well as non-x86 Linux platforms.
