Research and Programme Evaluation Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Research and Programme Evaluation Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to lead research projects, design and implement evaluation strategies, and provide methodological support.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantitative research, excellent data analysis skills, and experience in managing projects independently. They will be responsible for designing surveys, conducting advanced data analysis, engaging with external research agencies, and ensuring quality and ethical protocols are met.

  • This role requires a high degree of autonomy, collaboration, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively across multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:1. Lead and Manage Research Projects

Develop and implement research strategies to inform programme design, implementation, and strategy.

Conduct literature reviews and stay up-to-date with relevant research findings.

2. Design and Implement Evaluation Strategies

Design and pilot quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method surveys in collaboration with other teams.

Ensure data quality checks for internal and external research projects.

3. Provide Methodological Support

Provide evidence-based support to Arpan's Research and Programme evaluation design, implementation, analysis, reporting, and dissemination.

4. Engage with External Research Agencies

Engage with external research agencies to ensure the conduct of quality research and adherence to ethical protocols.

5. Maintain Research Knowledge Databases

Prepare, maintain, and update Arpan's research knowledge databases.

Requirements:
  • Masters' degree in any developmental, statistical, population studies, with graduate-level coursework on statistics, econometrics, impact evaluation, and economic development.
  • A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in quantitative research in the development sector.
  • Predict and oversee risks and deliver on time and to budget.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
