Job Title: Research and Evaluation Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Evaluation Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will lead and manage internal and external research projects, providing methodological, research and evidence-based support to inform programme design, implementation and strategy.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on research methodology, data analysis and reporting.
  • Design and pilot quantitative, qualitative and mixed method surveys in collaboration with other teams.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis using statistical software packages to inform programme design and strategy.
  • Engage with external research agencies to ensure conduct of quality research and follow ethical protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage assigned research projects independently.
  • Develop and implement research strategies to inform programme design and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with programme, communications and M&E teams to align research with organisational goals.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable data from multiple sources.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as statistics, econometrics or population studies.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in quantitative research in the development sector.
  • Proven experience in conducting literature searches and summarising complex academic papers.
  • Strong power point presentation skills.
