Job Title: Accountant

We are seeking an experienced accountant to manage daily financial activities and ensure seamless financial operations within our organisation.

This role is critical for maintaining financial accuracy, supporting financial planning, and facilitating the organisation's financial health and regulatory compliance.

  1. Manage day-to-day transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, cash receipts, and general ledger entries.
  2. Ensure accuracy in daily financial postings, reconciliations, and closing activities.
  3. Oversee cash flow to ensure the organisation meets all financial commitments.
  4. Reconcile bank statements and other financial statements to ensure alignment with internal accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and present daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to highlight financial performance and trends.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.
  • Monitor and track budget allocations, spending patterns, and variances against forecasts.
  • Conduct variance analysis and communicate findings to support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights on budget adherence.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and implement process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA/CPA Inter/Final qualification is preferred.
  • Proven work experience (4+ years) in an accounting or finance role, ideally in managing day-to-day operations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
