Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to assume the role of Hardware Asset Management and CMDB Specialist. As part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our clients' asset lifecycle and configuration management practices globally.

This position involves driving end-to-end delivery, process optimization, CMDB governance, and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and performance improvement.

  • End-to-End Delivery: Manage the entire delivery process of HAM and CMDB engagements, ensuring alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and service improvement initiatives.
  • Configuration and Data Integrity: Configure robust Identification and Reconciliation rules to guarantee reliable CMDB data integrity.
  • CMDB Health Monitoring: Regularly monitor CMDB health and proactively resolve data conflicts between authoritative sources.
  • Standard Configuration Items: Define and maintain standard Configuration Items (CIs), CI relationships, and classification schemas in line with business needs.
  • Process Documentation: Develop and maintain process documentation, policies, and compliance frameworks for HAM and CMDB.
  • Application Mapping: Create and enhance application maps using ServiceNow Service Mapping (optional but desirable).
  • ServiceNow Customization: Customize ServiceNow environments including scripting, automation, and module configuration.
  • Reporting and Dashboards: Design and manage reports and dashboards to support decision-making and transparency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for continuous service improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in hardware asset management and CMDB.
  • Strong expertise in ServiceNow HAM and CMDB modules.
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence in IT asset and configuration management.
  • Deep understanding of CMDB architecture, CI types, and dependency mapping.
  • Experience handling large-scale data integration and reconciliation tasks.
  • Excellent documentation and process design skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities across global teams.
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience with Service Mapping and MID Server configuration.
  • Ability to write custom scripts within ServiceNow for automation and customization.
  • Background in ITIL practices and IT Service Management frameworks.
  • Certification - ServiceNow CIS, Certified Asset Management Professional
