Senior Engineering Manager - Experience Design

This role requires a seasoned leader to oversee the design practice for retail convenience consumer technology. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in design, with at least 5 years in leadership or management roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the design vision and strategy for retail convenience consumer tech, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of UX/UI designers, researchers, and content professionals
  • Oversee the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation through prototyping, testing, and final implementation
  • Partner closely with product management, engineering, and business teams to deliver intuitive, scalable, and innovative design solutions
  • Champion user research and data-driven design, ensuring products meet and exceed customer expectations in convenience retail environments
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in design, with at least 5 years in leadership or management roles
  • Demonstrated success in leading design teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for retail, convenience, or consumer technology markets
  • Experience working closely with product and engineering teams in a collaborative environment
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of retail and consumer technology trends in the Bangalore/India market
  • Work experience with tools such as Figma & Sketch
