Technical Operations Specialist

Job Description:

  • We are seeking experienced professionals to oversee the technical operations of our vessels.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime engineering and experience working on large sea-going vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day technical operations to ensure vessel seaworthiness.
  • Analyze performance/defects and implement prompt & effective closures.
  • Monitor PMS compliance, propose database & system improvements, and maintain certification/documentation validity.
  • Coordinate procurement of spares and critical equipment, plan/supervise dry-docking, repairs, and technical projects.
  • Support onboard crew with technical guidance/training and conduct periodic physical inspections for vessel condition/crew assessment.

Requirements:

  • 10-12 years in the shipping industry with international trading experience.
  • Minimum 2 years sailing experience as a Chief Engineer.
  • Prefer at least 2 years of shore experience as Superintendent.
  • Strong understanding of TMSA & Right ship requirements and implementation.
  • Experience working on cranes/grabs (for bulk carriers) and ME engines.
