Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our organization in a senior leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our global engagement strategy, positioning the organisation as the premier representative of Indian industry in the international arena.

This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader with deep knowledge of international trade and diplomacy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trade, diplomacy, and global economic policy, as well as strong diplomatic, negotiation, influencing, and consensus-building skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement organisation's international strategy to enhance India's global economic influence.
  2. Build and sustain relationships with foreign governments, multilateral organizations, and global chambers to advance trade and investment opportunities.
  3. Drive programs for market access, investment facilitation, and international business cooperation to deliver tangible outcomes for Indian industry.
  4. Ensure global engagements reinforce India's domestic economic and policy objectives to align with national priorities.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in international relations, public policy, economics, business administration, or related field. A PhD or equivalent international policy exposure is preferred.
  • Total progressive leadership experience of 25-30 years in trade, diplomacy, global economic policy, or senior roles in government/industry bodies with extensive international exposure.
  • Expertise in international trade, investment, and diplomacy. Strong policy and advocacy background. Broad knowledge of global economic issues.
  • Visionary leadership with deep knowledge of international trade and diplomacy. Strong diplomatic, negotiation, influencing, and consensus-building skills. Wide international network across governments, industry associations, and multilateral institutions. Excellent public speaking and cross-cultural communication skills. High credibility, gravitas, and ability to influence global economic policy.
