Project Director: Fit-Out Operations

About this role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of commercial interior fit-out projects. This includes coordinating with clients, designers, vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, HSE, and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Turnkey Project Execution: Interpret design drawings, BOQs, align procurement, manage site delivery, commissioning, snag resolution, and client handover.
  • Project Planning and Governance: Prepare and control project plans - schedule, budget, resources; maintain governance via change control and risk logs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate internal/external stakeholders including clients, designers, vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct frequent site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, HSE, and building codes.
  • Technical and Contractual Support: Facilitate timely resolution of technical or contractual challenges; oversee accurate documentation from RFIs to variation orders and handover dossiers.
  • Reporting and Communication: Deliver structured stakeholder reporting and maintain transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field.
  • Experience: 8-15 years of experience managing commercial or office interior fit-out projects, including high-value or GCC-related assignments.
  • Leadership Skills: Hands-on leadership of on-site teams and contractors, ideally with prior turnkey project experience.
  • Certification: PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
