About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Contract Management Specialist to join our team at SBM Offshore. As a key member of our commercial department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project managers and ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing contract management support to our project managers, including the formation, negotiation, and execution of enabling agreements and work orders. You will also be required to lead the coordination and presentation of enabling agreement proposals and oversee the execution of work orders.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Providing breakdowns of Enabling Agreement & Work Order contracting terms to the project management team.
  • Assessing changes, claims, and delays under the Enabling Agreement and Work Order terms.
  • Liaising with insurance providers for event coverage.
  • Preparing strategies and plans to overcome commercial/contractual exposures.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all correspondence, Change Orders, commercial exposures, and claims.
  • Coordinating project team input for Change Order Proposals/Change Orders, Letters, and Amendments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree or MBA in Business Management, Law, Construction Law, Contract Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
  • At least 10 years' experience in contract, commercial, or project management, preferably in the Oil and Gas Offshore industry.
  • Strong written advocacy skills.
  • Familiarity with corporate structures and contractual relationships.
  • Experience in negotiating outcomes and involvement in claims resolution.
  • Post-award contract management experience in Lump Sum, Reimbursable, and Remeasurable pricing structures.
  • Capability of preparing delay and extension of time claims.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, P6, SharePoint, and Visio.
