About the Role:

GenY Medium is a national, independent digital marketing agency delivering performance marketing & digital-creative solutions to enterprise brands and post-Series A startups. We are seeking an Account Director to effectively lead and oversee key performance marketing accounts, managing a team of account managers and servicing top customer accounts pertaining to performance marketing and SEO.



Key Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for an Account Director to define the team's processes and oversee projects, requiring deep expertise on platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, GTM, GA4, and Recruit.
  • The position involves managing a team, cultivating relationships with key customers and our digital operations team, and working with heads of content, design, analytics, and technology teams to develop and implement strategies and processes.
  • The Account Director will build a deep understanding of advertising platform management, analyze and define strategies for maximum yield and campaign performance, review campaign pacing and performance with the client services team, and help define upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting tagging and pixel issues, developing a basic understanding of web design, maximizing client retention and revenue growth, arbitrating internal conflicts, and taking a leadership role in special projects, meetings, and team events.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Outstanding project management skills and strong training and presentation skills are essential, as well as excellent customer service skills and the ability to work towards common goals in a group operations/sales environment.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and outstanding computer skills including solid knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel), PowerPoint, word processing (MS Word), CRM (Salesforce), and Dashboard systems are required.
  • Expert knowledge of digital products including search (AdWords/BING, Gmail, YouTube, SEO), email, programmatic (display, native, video, audio), social (FB, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), and knowledge of Google products including Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Data Studio are also necessary.
  • A master's degree in business administration is desired but not required, and 7 or more years of individual digital media experience; advertising operations, account management is mandatory, as well as 3 or more years of experience directly managing a fast-paced, quality-focused, client-facing team.
