Job Overview

The Director of Infrastructure Strategy is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive infrastructure plan that aligns with business objectives.

This role involves overseeing the organization's infrastructure operations, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies for optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Infrastructure Strategy: Create a detailed plan for infrastructure development, taking into account business needs and goals.
  • Analyze and Improve Infrastructure: Review existing infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement, optimizing systems and processes to increase efficiency.
  • Negotiate IT Purchases: Collaborate with management to negotiate the purchase of software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  • Senior Management Collaboration: Interact with senior management and peers to gain acceptance on alternative approaches.
  • Outsourced Team Management: Manage outsourced teams for daily operations and activities.
  • Business Problem-Solving: Provide solutions to complex business problems requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • DR Activities: Perform live DR activities and periodic DR drills.
  • Infrastructure Expertise: Possess working knowledge of server, storage, database, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: A B Tech/BE/MCA/MBA degree.
Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure management for both on-premise data centers and cloud infra.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Program and Project Management: Planning and executing infra-related projects.
  • In-Depth Knowledge: In-depth hands-on knowledge of infra such as server, storage, database, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network.
  • Cloud Computing Exposure: Good knowledge and exposure to cloud computing.
