Job Overview

This role entails overseeing the company's legal proceedings and dispute resolution processes.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing complex legal cases, preferably from the infrastructure sector or with expertise working with law firms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing litigation matters, including compensation claims under Electricity and Telegraph Act, Land Acquisition, Arbitration, Constitutional cases, contractual disputes, and criminal cases.
  • Representing or assisting in matters before various courts, such as Writ Courts, District Courts, DRT, Claim Tribunal, Consumer Courts, etc.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing legal documents, including SLP, writ petitions, civil suits, criminal complaints, Claim petitions, counter affidavits, replies, and replications.
  • Providing guidance to senior and external legal counsel on matters and coordinating with them to ensure timely updates.
  • Preparing and monitoring Legal MIS to track and control litigation cases.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to align litigation with company objectives while addressing potential contingencies.
  • Offering expert advice on legal positions backed by the latest court decisions and laws.
  • Ensuring efficient disposal and resolution of legal issues while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Effectively handling high-stake litigation cases.
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts to meet business needs and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
