Credit Underwriting Manager

  • This role involves managing a team of professionals to oversee the entire process of credit underwriting, from initial assessment to final approval.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for recommending proposals for non-collateral and collateral-backed education infrastructure loans.
  • They must have in-depth knowledge of the lending process and stay up-to-date with market trends and regulatory requirements.
  • This role requires effective communication and problem-solving skills to work closely with stakeholders, vendors, and team members.
  • Delinquency management is also a critical aspect of this position, ensuring that payments are made on time and that customers are not left behind.
  • Additionally, the Credit Underwriting Manager will be responsible for quality management, including audits, compliance, and issue identification.
  • PDD management is also essential, involving tracking and controlling various documents through proper MIS systems.
  • Finally, this role involves monitoring the end-use of loans to ensure they align with customer needs and company policies.

  • Login and Recommendation TATs must be met or exceeded.
  • Audit compliance and error reduction are crucial aspects of this role.
  • Training programs should be designed to improve team performance and alignment with company goals.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A CA (Chartered Accountant) degree is required for this role.

Technical Competencies

  • Fundamental knowledge of loan underwriting principles.
  • Awareness of risk involved in Education Lending Business.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Basic understanding of banking operations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
