Job Description

The Database Administration role is a vital part of our company's success. As a key team member, you will work directly with senior developers to design, test, plan, protect and implement databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage database locking, process blocking and performance tuning
  • Create and maintain high availability and disaster-recovery-friendly architectures
  • Manage, optimize, test and verify backup and restoration processes
  • Create and maintain monitoring and metrics tooling and dashboards
  • Manage infrastructure in a preventative manner
  • Handle support tickets when necessary
  • Develop and deploy new database objects and changes
  • Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers
  • Design and develop complex relational database reports

Required Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of relational database architecture and infrastructure
  • Knowledge of SSMS, SSRS, and support tooling
  • Knowledge of T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and day-to-day DB functions
  • Advanced knowledge of how to optimize MSSQL and support HA/DR
  • Strong knowledge of systems development lifecycles and relational database design
  • Experience with Always on High Availability Groups
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex problems
  • Choose tasks relative to current workload
  • Implement best-practices and standards
  • Clearly communicate ideas and suggestions
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Experience with cloud database storage technologies
