Revenue Maximization Leader
The primary goal of this position is to analyze and develop strategies for revenue growth across various business streams. Key responsibilities include maintaining Revenue Management standards, reviewing and measuring business performance against established goals, and monitoring key performance indicators within a two-to-three-year forecast.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Finance or related field.
- Minimum 10 years experience in travel/airline/hotel industry with 3-5 years in Revenue Management.
Responsibilities
- Analyze short- and long-term forecasting trends, group inventory rates, and occupancy levels to inform strategic sales goals.
- Monitor marketing channels, key accounts, and other production metrics to ensure rate parity.
- Review future bookings and evaluate trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Update distribution channels as needed with rate or inventory restrictions.
- Collaborate with regions to develop customized strategies for growth, establishing benchmarks to measure performance.
- Monitor competition weekly through various channels to identify emerging trends and selling strategies.
- Explore market mix variations to stimulate additional revenue without increasing costs.
- Responsible for software programs that contribute to revenue management.
- Assist in implementing Revenue Management basics and standards, automating consultations, and documenting action plans.
- Foster a culture of Revenue Management throughout all departments.
- Develop succession planning for Revenue Management talent.
Skills
- Knowledge of hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue management functions, including research, planning, market positioning, market segments, internal marketing, distribution channels, sales management, reservations, and yield management.
- Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in statistical and competitive analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Abilities
- Ability to effectively analyze and utilize operational, financial, and marketing data to maintain and improve market share/penetration goals.
- Understanding of business operations and ability to associate needs through the revenue department.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing markets.
