Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Manager to oversee our end-to-end finance and accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage a small team, and liaise effectively with external stakeholders.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations. They will also ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closures, prepare and maintain financial statements in compliance with applicable Indian accounting standards, and coordinate statutory compliances.

Taxation & Compliance

The Financial Manager will coordinate with external chartered accountants firms for tax planning, filing of GST, TDS, income tax returns, and audits. They will also manage correspondence with tax authorities and ensure timely compliance with all statutory requirements. Additionally, they will monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the business.

MIS & Business Reporting

The candidate will prepare and present accurate and timely monthly management information reports (MIS) including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis. They will also support decision-making by providing financial insights and MIS to management.

Investor Relations

The Financial Manager will support investor reporting requirements, including preparation of financial data, decks, and performance summaries. They will respond to investor queries in coordination with founders and assist in due diligence processes and funding-related documentation.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A qualified chartered accountant (CA), certified public accountant (CPA), or equivalent qualification;
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience across finance and accounting;
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Tally software;
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel;
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into details while seeing the big picture;
  • Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of Indian tax laws;
  • Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and accounting/ERP software;
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure;
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Understanding of international transactions.
