IT Operations Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production systems, managing and overseeing night shift activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee production systems during night shifts, ensuring prompt response to incidents and maintaining optimal system performance.
  • Execute End-of-Day (EOD) and Beginning-of-Day (BOD) job processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Coordinate DC and DR failover activities, guaranteeing the availability and reliability of critical systems.
  • System patching activities, ensuring all systems are up-to-date with the latest security and functionality updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with EOD/BOD job handling and managing DC, DR failover activities.
  • System patching processes and coordination with different teams.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in managing Linux systems.
  • Basic understanding of database systems (DB2).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during the night shift.
  • Dedication towards duties and responsibilities and taking initiatives.
  • Team building and leadership skills.
