Job Title: Data Exchange Specialist

This position is responsible for managing the entire data exchange process, ensuring seamless interactions between businesses and their trading partners.

Responsibilities:
  • EDI Configuration and Maintenance: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot EDI solutions using IBM Sterling to support electronic data interchange with business partners.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EDI with Order Management Systems (OMS), ensuring efficient order processing, inventory management, and fulfilment.
  • Mapping and Communication: Manage and support EDI mapping, translation, and communication processes with trading partners.
  • Onboarding and Support: Work with customers and external partners to onboard, test, and maintain EDI connections.
  • Error Resolution: Monitor and resolve EDI-related issues, including transmission errors, mapping discrepancies, and communication failures.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis of EDI failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and company-specific EDI requirements. Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Proven experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and/or IBM Sterling File Gateway.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and industry-specific transaction sets.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and their integration with EDI processes.
  • Communication Protocols: Strong understanding of EDI mapping, document translation, and communication protocols (e.g., AS2, SFTP, FTP).
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex EDI issues across multiple platforms.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams and external partners.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
