Structural Designer I Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Designer to produce 3D models, annotate and detail 2D production drawings, manage BIM workflow, and maintain structural BIM/CAD files.

Main Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Produce 3D models consistent with industry guidelines and standards.">
  • Clearly annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings in conformance to industry standards.">
  • Manage the BIM workflow including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals.">
  • Maintain structural BIM / CAD files for use in the structural design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting).">
  • Interface with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modelling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.">
  • Use tools such as Navisworks for project collaboration across multiple disciplines.">
  • Prepare and review project deliverables for client submissions.">
  • Create 3D views or renderings on an as-needed basis for marketing or project use.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents using Revit/BIM project delivery.">
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with Revit software.">
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD software.">
  • Strong understanding of how a building comes together.">
  • Ability to think in 3-D.">
  • Ability to draw sections and details with minimal input from the engineer.">
  • Proficiency with written and verbal communication skills.">
