Supply Chain Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Leader to drive operational excellence and strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, demand planning, logistics, and distribution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative supply chain strategies that optimize costs, enhance efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction. They will also mentor and guide a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the organization's overall objectives, identifying areas for improvement and recommending initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure they achieve their full potential.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery of goods.
  • Inventory Management: Develop effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize holding costs, implementing inventory tracking systems and establishing processes to maintain accurate records.
  • Logistics Optimization: Streamline transportation and distribution processes to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing costs, collaborating with logistics providers to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and monitor performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop proactive mitigation strategies, implementing robust contingency plans to minimize disruptions and maintain continuity of supply.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the supply chain, identifying opportunities to enhance quality, decrease lead times, improve forecasting accuracy, and reduce costs.
  • Vendor Performance: Establish performance metrics and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendors, ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and service level agreements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience of 12 to 18 years in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute supply chain strategies that optimize costs, enhance efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • In-depth understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Superb analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving process improvements.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
