Android Software Developer

We are seeking a skilled Android developer to join our team in the automotive domain.

  • This role involves designing, developing and maintaining Android applications and services for automotive systems.
  • You will be responsible for integrating and managing wireless communication protocols including Bluetooth Classic, BLE, and Wi-Fi.
  • Our ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement features and resolve system-level issues.

About You

  • You should have strong programming skills in Java and Kotlin.
  • Solid experience with Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and Wi-Fi on Android is required.
  • Familiarity with Android connectivity APIs, AIDL, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Permissions is necessary.

Educational Qualifications

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related fields is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain Android applications and services for automotive systems.
  • Integrate and manage wireless communication protocols including Bluetooth Classic, BLE, and Wi-Fi.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement features and resolve system-level issues.
  • Optimize application performance and memory usage in embedded environments.
  • Develop and maintain connectivity features such as phone pairing, media streaming, diagnostics, and OTA updates.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards where applicable.
  • Troubleshoot real-time issues related to connectivity and communication protocols.
  • Collaborate in Agile development environments and follow CI/CD practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong programming skills in Java and Kotlin.
  • Solid experience with Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and Wi-Fi on Android.
  • Familiarity with Android connectivity APIs, AIDL, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Permissions.
  • Hands-on experience with Android Studio, debugging tools, and performance profilers.
  • Good understanding of Android system services and lifecycle.
  • Exposure to tools like Wireshark, Bluetooth sniffers, and log analyzers.

Additional Information

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related fields is preferred.
