Job Title: Automotive Manufacturing Operations Specialist About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our manufacturing operations in engine assembly. As an Automotive Manufacturing Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing engineering changes, introducing new models, ensuring capacity planning, and providing technical support to vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Change Management: Plan and execute engineering changes at engine assembly as released by R&D.
  • New Model Introduction: Coordinate hassle-free introduction of new models (engine side) as per management plans.
  • Capacity Planning: Ensure capacity planning and execution according to management plans.
  • Vendor Support: Provide technical support to vendors for improving capacity, quality, and productivity.
  • Automation: Convert manual processes into automation with the help of MTD and Automation team.
  • Line Optimization: Analyze and improve line RFT/OEE.
  • Production Improvement: Support in-house production shops to improve PQCDSM parameters.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with R&D, CD, Materials, and vendors for new module development and engineering change implementation.
  • Defect Resolution: Resolve critical defects occurring in engine part manufacturing process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Knowledge of planning, procurement, commissioning of all manufacturing facilities related to Engine assembly.
  • Automotive Components: Knowledge of automotive components casting, forging, and machining processes.
  • Negotiation Skills: Awareness and understanding of commercial negotiation processes with strong negotiation skills.
  • Productivity Improvement: Drive productivity improvements through methods improvements and VAVE cost saving proposals.
  • Industry Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of products, processes, and equipment used in automobile industries.
  • Automation Techniques: Awareness about latest developments and techniques used for conveyorized assembly and automations.
  • Engineering Software: Understanding of engineering drawings, AutoCAD, and 3D drawing software like Teamcenter.
  • Budgeting: Knowledge of budgeting, planning, and utilization/excecution of same - capital and revenue.
  • Manufacturing BOM: Engineering BOM, Manufacturing BOM, and Materials BOM knowledge.
  • TPM Systems: Implementation of TPM systems, JH activities, and MES industry exposure.
