Monitoring Expert - Key Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking an accomplished monitoring expert to assume a pivotal role in our team. This highly skilled professional will be entrusted with real-time monitoring of servers, network devices, applications, jobs, and services using a range of sophisticated tools.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in monitoring tools and ticketing systems, as well as a strong understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, OS, networks, applications). They will be able to identify, acknowledge, and log alerts, events, and anomalies, escalating incidents to the relevant support teams based on established SOPs and severity.

This demanding yet rewarding position requires a vigilant individual who can track and update incident tickets in ITSM tools, perform basic health checks and validations, and ensure monitoring dashboards and tools remain operational. Effective communication is crucial, with a focus on documenting incidents, actions taken, and resolution/escalation steps, as well as providing shift-wise handover updates and contributing to incident reviews.

Key qualifications include exposure to ITIL processes (incident, event, change, management) and certification in basic IT/networking. At least three years' experience in IT monitoring or helpdesk roles is also essential. Preferred candidates reside within 20 kilometers.
